When and where is the final stage of the competition?

The final stage of the competition will take place from December 25th until December 26th, 2019 from 8:30 am until 1 pm the day after, at the Israeli Oracle Branch in Aharon Bert 18 St. 6th floor, Petah Tikva.

What is the deadline to apply?

The deadline for submitting applications is December 3rd, 2019.

What happens after registration closes?

After registration closes, you will be faced with an online video analysis challenge.
As part of the online competition, companies will be provided with new videos which they will need to analyze.
After all results are submitted, we will choose up to 10 companies with the best outcomes. Those companies will compete inVAC2020 event day.

Who can participate?

Corporations (companies or registered partnership) or Israeli licensed dealer are welcome to apply. The participants in the VAC2020 event will include companies that have passed the initial stage of the challenge.

What will happen on VAC2020 event day?

During the VAC2020 day, the companies will face several rounds of video analysis challenges of increasing difficulty and frontal presentation of the solution.

How are winners determined?

During the competition days, the teams will undergo several video analysis challenges, with each challenge receiving an accuracy-based score. On the second day of the competition, the teams will present their results to the judges at the Demo fair. The judges will also give a score based on their impression of the team. The three contest winners will be announced at the end of the day.

Can we work from home?

All teams have to be physically present at the event.

Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes, but please be responsible for it – we’re not liable for any loss or damage.

What is the "Formal data reporting format" table?

The provided sample of the “Formal data reporting format” for traffic volumes by different types divided into a quarter of an hour and/or an hour, the direction of travel, vehicle types and other parameters.

The “Formal data reporting format” includes maps with the measurement area and details of a traffic diagram divided by direction, arm or path.

For proof of competency within the competition, reporting in the attached format is not required.

On the day of the competition, more simple tables for reporting will be provided.
However, the winner, once commenced the work for Ayalon Highways will be required to report using this format.
